The Remarkable
(but little known)
Story of the Statue of Liberty
In 1885, the Statue of Liberty was sitting in crates after having been shipped from France. To fund the installation, newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer asked for contributions — however small — with the promise of publishing the name of every donor.
Funding for the Tidbits in Time Almanac comes from the voluntary contributions of generous benefactors like you. To those of you who have sent a donation, let me express my thanks. For anyone else who would like to join in, simply fill-out the simple form below.

Convenient and Simple
Contributions
This is not an organization. Nor is it a 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity, so donations are not deductible as charitable contributions (though maybe as a business expense – clear that with your tax preparer).
